We took these photos at the recent C5/C6 Bash, held at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. Pictured below are shots of the new Centennial Edition Corvettes, identifiable by their unique 100 Years decals on the B-pillars (coupes) and rear quarters (convertibles). Other new items for 2012 are:

new wheel options
Carbon Flash black metallic paint (available on any Centennial Edition Corvette) and Carlisle Blue paint options,
color options for brake calipers,
a carbon fiber hood option for Z06 Corvettes,
Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires that will be offered on specific Z06 and ZR1 packages,
updated seats with more bolstering.

1st Production 2011 Corvette a Tribute to 50th Anniversary of LeMans Win

Our friends at Corvette Blogger were present at the National Corvette Museum’s C5/C6 Bash this past weekend, and received permission to take photos of the first production 2011 Corvette. The car, an Arctic White Z06 with the Z07 performance package, commemorates the 50th Anniversary of a Corvette winning the 24 Hours of LeMans. It will be utilized as a fundraiser for the NCM. The museum is looking for a tax-deductible donation of $300,000 wherein the donor can purchase this one-of-one car at the NCM’s cost (approximately $85,000). National Corvette Museum Plans to Open Motorsports Park

The National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY is in the beginning stages of development for a motorsports park that would include the longest road course in the U.S (5 miles with 27 turns). The museum has started to purchase surrounding land in order to complete this daunting task. The museum wants to privately raise $25 million in order to begin construction by 2011.

The proposed park will include a quarter-mile drag strip, two road courses, a 10 acre autocross track and go kart tracks.
